“Jungle Bells, jungle bells, jungle all the way!” That’s the tune San Diego visitors will be singing this holiday season when they experience the special wild winter wonderland attractions at the San Diego Zoo. From December 15 through January 6, the local zoo will feature themed exhibits, shows and celebrations that guests of all ages will enjoy.
Every day a small group of no more than 10 people can be guided on the Jungle Bells Jungle Tour. The group departs at 10 am or 1 pm from Front Street and gives adventurers an opportunity to get up close to some of the Zoo’s wildest animals. Cost is $69 a person and reservations need to be made in advance.
Little ones and adults alike can hop on the North Pole Elf Express for a train ride around a lit up track. Word on the street is that kids might even catch a glimpse of Santa!
If you’re thinking of getting a meaningful gift for a loved one or work event this year, what’s better than adopting a zoo animal? The San Diego Zoo will set up an Adopt-A-Animal booth where guests can “adopt” a polar bear or panda. The gift comes with an adoption certificate, plush animal and a tote bag.
Catch a fun holiday show like Dr. Zoolittle’s ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, Chocolate Town and the Twelve Days of Christmas at the Zoofari Party Area, or watch the gravity-defying Jumping, Jamming Elves at Syndey’s Grill.
Don’t leave the Zoo without watching Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas in 4-D. You can purchase tickets for this cinematic adventure at the entrance so you and your family can watch Sid the Sloth’s humorous journey to the North Pole.
