New San Diego Restaurants

There are restaurants all over San Diego, but nothing compares to being one of the first to enjoy the culinary delights at a new eatery. If you are in the area, or you plan to be in San Diego soon, you should try one of the spots highlighted here.

The Fresh Asian Bar and Bistro | 3925 4th Avenue, San Diego

If you’re in the mood for fresh sushi or a spicy noodle dish, this Pan-Asian restaurant is sure to have something to delight your taste buds. This restaurant, affectionately nicknamed FABB, also has a full bar so you can enjoy your favorite sips while noshing on some Asian cuisine.

Circa Restaurant | 2121 Adams Avenue, University Heights

This new restaurant is off to a great start, serving up traditional American cuisine in a retro and rustic setting. Favorites like meatloaf, chicken & dumplings, and succotash grace this menu. Be sure to bring your appetite so you can eat some of the homemade buttermilk biscuits, which are topped with a little cinnamon and a drizzle of honey. Stop by for their delicious Sunday brunch and a few mimosas, just be sure to have a nearby downtown San Diego budget hotel so that you don’t have to worry about drinking and driving.

Project Pie | Chula Vista and Hillcrest

San Diego may not be world-renowned for their pizza, but this does not mean tasty pies are not available here. Locals love this place because they can get tasty pizza made however they want it. Project Pie now has three locations in San Diego: two in Chula Vista and one in Hillcrest. Guests have the option of ordering one of their specialty pizzas or you can get creative and create your own pizza. Did we mention they have dessert pie??

Ironside Fish & Oyster | 1654 India Street, Little Italy

This restaurant has been one of the most anticipated openings this year and since its doors sung open three weeks ago is hasn’t disappointed. Seafood lovers all over San Diego are satisfied with the culinary options available at Ironside. This open and airy eatery appeals to the casual hipster crowd and has served as a great mix-and-mingle location. People on the East Coast should beware because there is a lobster roll here that can make any seafood lover swoon.
