After paying admission ($16 for adults and $8 for kids), visitors can board all of the boats displayed in any order they choose.
Cruise the harbor.
Taking a harbor cruise or tour is another popular San Diego Bay activity. A standard 1 hour cruise around the harbor starts around $23 per person. Prices for cruises and bay tours differ by company, the length of the tour, and the size of the boat. For those who want to splurge, there are private, luxurious cruises and tours available at an additional cost. During the late winter to early spring, many of the bay tour companies also offer whale watching tours.
Catch a ferry to the island of Coronado.
This 15 minute ride costs $4.25 per person each way and runs every half hour to an hour depending on where you board the ferry. Passengers can buy tickets and board the ferry at either the Broadway Pier, located north of the USS Midway Museum or at the convention center marina. The ferry begins service at the Broadway Pier at 9 am with departures every hour and from 9:10am at the convention center marina with departures every half hour.
