Petco Park’s Food Offerings are Out of the Park!
If you’re planning on catching a Padres baseball game at Petco Park but are looking for a meal that doesn’t consist of the typical hotdog, peanuts, Cracker Jacks and soda, fear not for there are many dining options and cuisines available inside the ballpark.
Savor the Food at the Padres Stadium
Many of the food offerings at Petco Park are located on the first (field level) and third levels (upper level) of the stadium. On the first level, fans can visit the Mercado which features eats from Anthony’s Fish Grotto, Rubio’s, Filippi’s Pizza, Randy Jones Barbeque and, yes, traditional ballpark fare. Also at the Mercado, fans can stop by and grab a glass (or plastic cup) of wine. Craft brew enthusiasts will enjoy the casual, shady Kona Cove and those with refined tastes can walk across the street to the Omni Hotel Premier Club, a glass enclosed suite where game viewers can purchase buffet tickets a la carte. Sprinkled around the field and upper levels are various food cart vendors selling beer, soda, hotdogs, burgers, sandwiches, tacos, nachos, popcorn, fries, candy and ice cream.
Fans looking for more of a restaurant dining experience can head up the nearest escalator to the second level of the Western Metal Supply Building or Toyota Terrace. Inside the Western Metal Supply Building is the Hall of Fame Bar and Grill serving traditional American fare. Fans craving a juicy burger can make their way to either Hodad’s or Bubs in the Ballpark. Fans who are seated in Toyota Terrace have access to the exclusive Club 19 and its selection of gourmet food such as fresh flatbread pizzas and chicken.
Another dining option for Petco Park visitors is the All-You-Can-Eat seats. Tickets for these seats are in Sections 125 and 127 on the field level and range in price from $31 to $40 a ticket depending on when the game is (weekday vs. weekend) and who the visiting opponent is. Visitors with these tickets have unlimited access to a private buffet set up in the nearby concourse area.
Skip the High Costs and Save when Eating at the Park
Petco Park visitors looking to save on their baseball outing or who would prefer their own food, can bring in any snacks or meals into the park if they are securely sealed and not stored in a cooler. Beverages less than 20 ounces and secured (unopened) are also permitted. A great option for families is to bring in their own food and have a picnic at Park in the Park.
