Must-Visit Locations offering Cold Brews on Game Day
As a hotel offering cheap places to stay near Petco Park, we know that many visitors may be on a budget when catching a game at the stadium. As a result, we’ve created some of our favorite bars offering discounts and specials that are great for Padres fans before or after a game.
- Tivoli Bar & Grill – Located just a block from Petco Park, Tivoli Bar & Grill is most notably recognized as the Gaslamp’s oldest bar. While they sometimes offer specials before and after the game, you can always count on their daily happy hour from 12pm to 7pm which includes $3 wells, $3 domestic drafts and $10 domestic pitchers. After the Padres game, head back for the same specials during late night happy hour from 10pm to 12am!
- Bub’s at the Ballpark – For a true pre-game hangout spot, head to Bub’s at the Ballpark. Offering free peanuts, Padres fans can enjoy the ballpark snack with a drink before heading to the stadium. Their happy hour constantly changes but you can count on Bub’s for discounted pitchers. With television surrounding the entire bar, you can catch the Padre game and whatever sports are also being played during that time. Ask your server for Bub’s soundog and you will be able to hear the sound from the television of your choice!
- Mission Brewery – What’s a trip to San Diego without visiting one of the popular breweries of the area. Mission Brewery is located about 3 blocks from Petco and offers craft beers that are a great way to start or end your baseball adventure. And on game days, Mission Brewery typically extends their hours so you don’t have to worry about rushing to taste one of their specially crafted beers.
